South Florida Acoustic Rock N Jam Band, “BIG MEDIZEN” is an eclectic ensemble of artists and musicians dedicated to preserving the joy, and experience of a live performance, and festival atmosphere at all their shows. Whether they are playing covers, re-creating entire albums, or showcasing their original music, “BIG MEDIZEN ”serves up the cure for what ails ya!!”
“BIG MEDIZEN” performs regularly in Palm Beach Florida. Some venues include, Boston’s on the Beach in Delray, Bamboo Room in Lake Worth, Copper Blues, City Place and at the Hard Rock in Hollywood.
The band members are “Diamond Joe George” and Jake Luger on the Keyboards”, “Mike Hill” on lead guitar, harmonica and vocals, Pat “the machine” Kregor on drums and percussion, “Kenny G.” on bass guitar, “Zappa Pete” on lead guitar and vocals, and “Jerry Leeman” on acoustic guitar and vocals. The guys are all residents! of Palm Beach County, Florida.
On Friday, Oct 30th 2015, Halloween Eve, at the stroke of midnight, in front of 100’s of fans, the band recreated and performed Pink Floyd’s, Dark Side Of the Moon, which the band appropriately billed as “Dark Side of the Medicine”. The joy and excitement of creating this show and its added success has inspired the band to continue to recreate classic albums from the roots of rock n roll history.
March, 2016 the band re-created Led Zeppelin’s 4th album, titled “Med Zeppelin IV” also, look for the band’s, homage to “The Beatles” Sgt. Peppers, this summer with the release of their new album.
On November 25th, the Friday after Thanksgiving and exactly 40 years to the day BIG MEDIZEN will re-create The Last Waltz, with 12 local guest stars. including Crazy Fingers, The Fabulous Fleetwood, Jason and Kim Colaninno, Motel Mel, Bobby Freeman and a host of others.
“BIG MEDIZEN” is currently working on a special order, double sided vinyl L.P entitled “ELEVEN” which is charted to be released in the summer of 2017 and includes 11 new songs from the band.The band is also planning a mini-tour of the midwest, and east coast this summer with the release of their new album “ELEVEN”
